Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Committee helps to ease the pain and anxiety of St. Michael’s parishioners. The Committee meets each Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. to pray for all on the prayer list, send post cards and follow-up telephone calls.

Preparing to help a family resettle

St. Michael’s and partner church Grosse Pointe Congregational have collected enough furniture and other items to furnish a two-bedroom apartment. The furniture is in storage, as we await the time when we will be able to welcome a refugee family to their new home and new life.

Refugee Project

Former Kosovo refugee Hazbije Dullovi says “it’s so difficult to put into words” what Bill and Genny Davenport mean to her and her family.

Support Groups

St. Michael’s is the meeting place for several community support groups, including Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Alzheimer’s Support Group for Families

Liberian Eyeglass Campaign

St. Michael’s parishioner Magdalene Hanson has a very special outreach that crosses continents. A native of Liberia, Ms. Hanson, along with her husband, Al and their children, fled from their home country in June of 1990 due to the bloody civil war taking place there.
